Our Junior Program Season 2026/27

The junior cricket program at Rosanna Cricket Club starts with the Woolworths Cricket Blast program and progresses onto Junior club cricket with the Diamond Valley Cricket Association (DVCA).
We have a small number of teams which allows young cricketers to participate in a friendly, well organised environment. We aim to promote skill development appropriate to all levels of abilities through excellent coaching and support.
For season 2026/27 we are delighted to announce we will have a girl's cricket team!
We aim to run training for our youngest teams simultaneously to the cricket blast program which supports the transitioning into match play and creates a fun atmosphere at the club on Monday evenings. BBQ and canteen are open each week through the Cricket Blast season.
What We Offer
Woolworths Cricket Blast (ages 5 - 10)

Girls Cricket
For season 2026/27, we are excited to be introducing girls' cricket to the club! Girls' cricket prioritises capability over age when determining teams.
Entry level for girls' cricket follows the Level 1 Cricket rule (same as U9s mixed, rules outlined in more detail below). For season 2026/27 this is the format of girls cricket we plan to enter.
Timing for girls' cricket training is likely to be Monday but to be confirmed. Please indicate preference on registration.

Entry level U9s and U11s Mixed Cricket
U9s mixed cricket follows Level 1 of the junior cricket pathway. This is a modified game designed to promote participation, build on cricketing skills, develop teamwork and begin to understand game flow. Key features of these matches include: fewer players per team, all children face the same number of balls, there are no ‘outs,’ rotational bowling, shortened pitch and boundaries, no official scoring.
U11s mixed cricket follows Level 2 of the junior cricket pathway. This is entry for competitive play still designed to maximise participation.
For both age groups there is an option to register in the Wednesday evening (5-7.15pm) or Sunday morning (8.45-11am) competition. You can indicate preference on registration, we aim to meet preferences but cannot guarantee timing as it will depend on total player numbers, preferences and DVCA finalising fixtures.
Training for U9s and U11s is held at De Winton on Monday evenings.
